Day 12: Mystery Shopping Hustle
Greetings Everyone!
Today we will discuss Mystery Shopping as a Side Hustle.
Mystery Shopping has blown up in the past decade because it gives the average person the opportunity to shop and make money at the same time. If you are a natural with acting, or being somewhat deceptive, then this is for you. Some jobs will require you to make a small or large purchase, then give a report on how the interaction was. You will also come across jobs that do not require you to purchase anything, but call or show up somewhere and report how the interaction was.
The scenarios are many and the opportunity is plenty.
There is one bad side to Mystery Shopping, and that is Scammers. Many websites have been create to pose as legitimate businesses, but they are not. They are used to send you a check so you can cash it in the bank, and then send them some of the money and you keep the rest. All along, the check bounces and you are charged the overdraft fee and cost of the check.
Luckily, I have done my homework and have filtered the legit from the fake sites. I was able to do this by using the site www.volition.com. The are the #1 site on the Internet for Mystery Shopping, and they have a huge list of companies to register with.
I would strongly suggest reading up on what it takes to be a Mystery Shopper, as there are certain qualities you need to have. You need to be able to read and write with great detail. A sub-standard report will either be kicked back or partially paid. Attention to detail is a must! The pay usually takes a couple of weeks, and will either come through Pay pal or check.
Once again, I would strongly suggest getting a separate email account before doing this, because you will receive multiple offers daily from all the different companies you sign up with. Also, each account will require a a password, and some of them will be chosen for you, and you will have to keep record. Speaking of keeping record, Volition has a record keeping solution for you on all the different shop opportunities you will have.
Alot of money can be made doing this if you plan your day out. You can shop the same shop every month in some instances. There was a female that made $50K doing this full time in a year, by setting up her day doing different jobs. I have personally done this recently and average an additional $25 or so a month. So if you are interested, here is the link to Volition.
